Dance of the High Plains
Composed by Leo Brouwer (b. 1931) in 1962 under the title Danza del altiplano and based on a Bolivian folk song, this is my cinematic music video and performance of this Latin American piece. arranged for solo guitar from the song, “Por ti mi corazón,” by it’s composer, Manuel Ponce (1882-1948), in 1926.
Julia Blooms
Composed by Agustín Barrios (1885-1944) and published as "Julia Florida" in 1938, it is performed here for the first time on the amplified steel-string guitar by Allen Michael.

Johann Sebastian Bach’s (1685-1750) Prelude from Cello Suite no. 3 (BWV 1009) arranged for solo amplified steel-string guitar in E Major.
Lament of the Brazilian Indian
written by Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887-1959) in 1940 and originally published in Five Preludes as “Prelude No. 4 in E Minor.”
The Golden Vessel
an original poem set to my performance of Manuel Ponce’s “Prelude no. 24 in D minor.”
